1. REGISTRATION AND LOG IN

I can't start the session

First of all, make sure that you have the latest version of Uniks and a good internet connection. Close the session and then start a new one.

The app is crashing

First of all, please make sure that you have the latest version of Uniks, close the application and reopen it whenever you have a good internet connection.

If the problem persists, please reinstall the app.

2. SETTINGS

How do I edit my details and my 'self-evaluation'?

To edit your profile, click on your profile header.

I can't change my configuration

Please ensure that you have the latest version of Uniks. If the problem persists, please try again later.

How can I add a photo to my profile (avatar and cover)?

You can edit your profile anytime by clicking the “pencil” icon on the menu bar (for Android users) and right from your profile screen (for iPhone users)

Can I have two accounts?

No, you're only allowed to have one account. Besides, it doesn't make any sense to have more than one profile as Uniks is a social network where you can interact with your friends.

3. PERSONAL PROFILE & EVALUATION

Self-evaluation

When registering, we ask you to do an auto-evaluation. This information is private and therefore it’s hidden from the rest of the users.

Our concept of 'personality'

We believe that a person is what other people think about them. In keeping with this principle, the personal profile on Uniks is a reflection of how a person is perceived by others and we express this through five attributes which provide the most appropriate description (“STRENGHTS THAT IDENTIFY ME”) and the area for improvement (“MY CHALLENGE”).

How do we create a personal profile

We use all the evaluations you receive and apply an internal algorithm which evaluates the attributes which have been applied to you and how they have been ordered.

Public Profile

Its activation allows users to be evaluated by anyone, without the need for friendly relationship.

Verified Profile

You can verify your account through Twitter if you have a verified account.

Who can send feedback to me?

You can give and request personality feedback (identification of strengths to create the profile) to anyone who has a Uniks account and also, to anyone in your contacts agenda. However, in both cases, the first time that someone is receiving feedback from another person they must accept it. Once the first one is accepted, no further acceptance is required.

Although evaluations are always positive we protect that no one can be evaluated by someone who does not want to.

The only exceptions are people who are configured as "public" profiles, who accept to be evaluated by anyone. This configuration is intended for people who have a public image.

Likewise, we allow you to send Uniks feedback to your contacts via email or SMS, which will only be activated at the time that this person has registered with Uniks.

It is also possible to ask for feedback to anyone who is not in Uniks; From the profile you can request feedback from anyone regardless of the network (Facebook, Twitter, WhatsApp, etc.)

In the case of recognition of gratitude ("Thanks for your") and Group's gratitude medals, we also allow two people belonging to the same group to exchange even without having a friendship.

Feedback Types: Strengths and Gratitude

In Uniks you can send and receive two types of recognition: Strengths evaluations and Gratitude.

Evaluations focus on the attributes that define the identity of people. It consists of 5 attributes and an improvement area. In the end, you can add a comment that is only visible by the feedback recipient.

The reward acknowledges the gratitude for positive attitudes between people (“Thanks for your”) and, in the premium groups, recognizes the concepts that the client configures from the control panel (Groups Gratitude).

The strengths evaluation process

When assessing a friend, first of all, define the types of relationship you have with the person you are evaluating: social, professional and affectionate, not mutually exclusive. Secondly, evaluate the person through the selection and ordering of the attributes which best characterizes him or her. Thirdly, you can write a commentary which is private between you and your friend.

The assessment is open to other users, but the comment is private and therefore only the person being assessed can read it.

We offer 6 profiles that are generated by applying a filter: all, men, women, social relationships, professional relationships, and personal relationships.

Sending Gratitude

At the time of sending Gratitude recognition, you must first select who you want to send it to. Then you must choose from the list of available rewards (concepts), the one you wish to send. Later you can add a message to accompany the chosen recognition. The concept message available to all users, “Thanks for your”, is private to the receiver, and the concept message for premium groups, “Groups Gratitude”, is private or public as configured by the group administrator.

Can I evaluate my friends strenghts and myself later?

Yes. You can do it at any time. Your last evaluation is the only one we keep and is the only one we take into consideration when creating personal profiles and for comparisons. The previous ones are deleted.

Can I evaluate someone before they open an account?

Uniks requires a friendly relationship before evaluating someone, so before evaluating a user this has to be on your contacts list. However, if you register with Facebook, you can send a Uniks invitation with an evaluation and we will save it until the user creates his account, synchronizes with Facebook and has a friendly relationship.

4. OPEN CONTENT AND CLOSED CONTENT

Open content, public information

The recognition of the strengths and gratitude are public since they are always positive as they are a fixed content, that is, users can see the author and the content and in the case of personal message visibility depends.

The message of the strength assessment is always private. In the case of Gratitude, the “Thanks for your” acknowledgments message is always private to the recipient, and the premium group acknowledgments message, Groups Gratitude, is private or public as configured by the group administrator.

Can I give recognition to someone anonymously?

No, Uniks is positive and open. All strengths and gratitude feedback are open to all Uniks users excepting the messages can be written in the last step. The only evaluation which is hidden is your self-evaluation.

Closed content, private information

Self-evaluations and the optional commentaries which users can choose to write at the end of an evaluation are private information and, as such, are hidden from other users.

¿What should I do if I do not want a user to evaluate me?

Do not accept the user as a friend if you do not want to receive their evaluation. Being friends with someone allows you to evaluate each other.

Unsubscribe a friend

Yes, you can unsubscribe a friend if you do not want to be able to evaluate or reevaluate each other. In case you have evaluated before you unsubscribe, the evaluations that you have done will be visible but not who has done them (they remain anonymous).

5. FEATURE: COMPARISONS AND RANKINGS

What does 'self-awareness' mean?

Self-awareness refers to how alike your personal profile and your self-evaluation are. The calculation is undertaken by an internal algorithm which gives a value between 0 and 100.

Who stands out in terms of a particular attribute?

Choose an attribute and the contacts in which you are interested to see who stands out in terms of that attribute.

6. GROUP PROFILE

What is a group?

The profile of a group is the aggregation of the users that comprise it.

Groups can be verified by providing additional information.

Closed groups and open groups

Closed groups require the administrator to accept incoming requests. By contrast, access to open groups is free.

7. REPORT USER

If you think a user has posted inappropriate content, please report it.

8. REMOVE A CONTACT

If I delete a contact, what happens with the recognition we have given and received?

If you delete a contact, the recognition (strengths and gratitude) you have shared will continue to appear on your evaluation lists, but the list of evaluations received will be shown anonymously and the personal comment will not be displayed.

10. DELETE THE APP AND CLOSE YOUR ACCOUNT

How to close your account

To close your account, please follow these steps:

  1. Go to 'Configuration'
  2. Select 'Delete Account'

You will see the message 'Account Successfully Deleted'. Please note that deleting the app does not mean your account has been deleted.

If I delete the app will it close my account?

Removing the app does not close your account. If you have deleted the app and want to close your account, please install it again and close your account by following the steps in the previous point.

If I delete the app, what will happen to my evaluations?

If you delete the app you do not lose your information. When you install the app again (using the same username and password) your account information will be loaded.

If I delete my account, what will happen to my evaluations?

If you close your account your profile will be permanently deleted and the evaluations will continue to be shown in the evaluation lists, but in the list of received evaluations they will be shown anonymously and the personal comment will not be shown.

Therefore, the evaluations you have sent will continue to serve as the basis for the creation of the profiles.
