Karl Otto Lagerfeld was born on September 10th, 1933 in Hamburg, Germany. He is highly recognized as one of the most influential fashion designer of the second half of century XX. He has won the pseudonym of “Kaiser” because of his slicked back white hairstyle look, dark glasses, necklaces and dark, white and brown tones of clothing.

In 1955, when he was 22 years old, Karl Lagerfeld changed his birth country to Paris, where he continued his studies, showing interest for drawing and determination to dedicate to fashion. He got a job in the Fashion House Pierre Balmain, after he won a contest sponsored by the International Secretariat of Lana.

He has been Creative Director of Fashion Houses as important as Fendi or Chanel. His career has been highly developing around the world. Besides, in 1980, he founded his own Brand, called Lagerfield, launching perfumes and clothes collections. Also, he is photographer of his advertising campaigns and collaborator of several artistic projects.

In 2004, he designed some clothing to the Madonna´s International Tour called “Re-Invention Tour” and recently designed some clothing for the Kylie Minogue “Showgirl” Tour.
