Lewis Hamilton is a famous English F1 pilot who has been world champion three times. The popular driver has achieved 43 victories throughout his career and has about 50 poles, being one of the world's most popular athletes.

Lewis Hamilton was born in England in January 1985. Grandson of a couple who emigrated from Grenada to the United Kingdom, the famous pilot debuted in karts at age of eight. He raced in his first championship in 1995. That same year he met Ron Dennis, the person who will mentor his career and with whom he established a long professional relationship. In 1997 he signed a contract with McLaren and two years later he won the European Championship in karts. In 2000 Hamilton entered Formula Renault UK and ended up being in the fifth place, a position which he improved on the following year by finishing third. In 2003, thanks to the victory of the Championship, he began to be widely recognized for motor racing fans. In 2005, the talented pilot won the Formula 3 Euroseries Championship with the ASM team. In the following season, he ended up being the best Formula 2 pilot and, as a result, he was named official driver of the team McLaren for the next year alongside the Spanish driver Fernando Alonso.

The famous pilot debuted in Formula 1 in 2006 and, within two years, he had already become the youngest F1 Champion in history being only 23. Hamilton remained being amongst the top five positions between 2009 and 2013, the year when he decided to sign for the Mercedes AMG F1 team. This change suited him very well because he became F1 World Champion the next two years. He has become one of the best F1 drivers in the motor sport history alongside with other famous pilots like Michael Schumacher or Ayrton Sena.

Lewis Hamilton has a great fame in the UK and for years he has suffered an exaggerated harassment by the British tabloid media. This made him decide to move to Switzerland in 2008. Later, he admitted that apart from privacy, tax benefits also contributed to the decision to move, which was heavily criticized by the British political parties. In 2012 Hamilton moved to Monaco, another country known for its low taxes, reviving the fact of being a bad example for the society. Also, since 2007 the recognized pilot has been going out with the famous singer and presenter Nicole Scherzinger, former leader of the girl group Pussycat Dolls. Their romance has been another reason for his constant appearance in the non-sports tabloids.
