Michael Kors was born in New York City on August 9, 1959. He is a famous American fashion designer. In 1981 he created his brand of clothing of the same name, selling his products in the Bergdorf Goodman stores of the Big Apple (New York). In 1997, he signed with the french house Celine, a contract that allowed him to continue working with his own women fashion.
Kors grew up in Merrik, New York and graduated from John F. Kennedy High School in Baltimore, New York. Kors's mother is Jewish and her father is of Swedish descent. Kors married his partner, Lance LePere on August 16, 2011.
