Later that same year, Skrillex began a tour along the renowned and controversial DJ Deadmau5, who allowed him to release the EP Scary Monsters and Nice Spirits through his own label, Mau5trap.

After months of uninterrupted progress by the young Californian DJ, in 2011 a video game was presented where in the online mode it included a song of Skrillex’s first album, Kill EVERYBODY. That same year he also released the music video of Rock 'n Roll (Will Take You to the Mountain), one of the hits of his album which stepped him up to fame in the world of electronic music. In the video, there appeared other famous DJs like Steve Aoki, Deadmau5 or Zedd.

In 2011 he entered for the first time in the 19 position of the Top 100 DJs annually made by the popular electronic music magazine DJMag. Soon he finished his second album, Bangarang, with whom he gained more popularity. In 2012 he participated in the famous festival Lollapalooza Chile, where he performed for over 14,000 people. As a result, he got the chance to play at the world's most popular electronic music festival, Tomorrowland, held annually in Belgium.

The American DJ had another of his songs played in another game, Far Cry 3. The song is entitled Make It Bun Dem and it is played when the player starts a mission that must burn a full field of marijuana plants.

The success of Skrillex continued in 2013 when, along with Diplo, another known DJ, formed Jack Ü, a dubstep duo who caught the attention of all public and achieved a great success when they performed at the Ultra Music Festival Miami, in the United States.
