Rafael Nadal is a famous Spanish tennis player. He is a benchmark for international sport, has fourteen Grand Slam trophies, including nine Roland Garros, a fact that makes him ranks as one of the biggest and most famous in the history of tennis worldwide.

Rafa Nadal was born on June 3, 1986 in Manacor (Balearic Islands) and since little showed much interest in the world of sports, practicing several of them butexcelling in tennis over the rest. With only 9 years old he won his first tournament at the local level, becoming champion of Spain two years after. In 2009 Rafael Nadal was champion in the Australia Open, and in 2010 he won the US Open, both being Grand Slam. That same year Nadal won three Grand Slamson three different surfaces. The famous tennis player also appeared in the music video \"Gypsy\" by Shakira, one of the most popular videos of 2010. In 2011, Rafa Nadal won the Laureus World Sports Award, one of the most prestigious sporting awards in the world and repeated his triumph in Roland Garros tournament in Paris. The acclaimed tennis player was chosen to represent Spain in the 2012 Olympics and was a finalist at the US Open.

Rafael Nadal was again chosen the best player in the world in the ATP ranking in 2013. The famous tennis player got to win Roland Garros again in 2014 and was awarded with the Gold Medal for Merit in Work of the Kingdom of Spain for his attitude and exemplary behavior both on the track as in achieving his goals.
